Bloody hell. This is brilliant! Definitely my personal canon now. Unless something in the show contradicts it, of course.
You have a wonderful way with words that seem somehow romantic and clinical at once. It suits Sherlock's sociopathic and dramatic personality. I loved, loved your Lestrade. In the show, he outright states that he hopes Sherlock becomes a good man one day. The way that you made him Sherlock's way out of addiction, in essence saving him, conforms wonderfully with that. Beautiful.
And now, we need a continuation piece! Please? A view of how things have progressed from here to at least until the events in The Great Game. And someone above mentioned a companion piece in Mycroft's POV? I second that! You are very skilled at writing Mycroft. He is definitely THE big brother, in both the literal and the figurative sense. It would be interesting to read a story from his view as he's... the most remote, I think, of all the characters allied with Sherlock.
Anyway, fantastic writing! Will definitely be waiting for more Sherlock stories from you. Cheers!
